This small mechanical sculpture is handmade in solid brass with stainless steel fasteners and spring. Designed to slip into a pocket and store treasures, it opens with a push and snaps shut with a simple touch.

Each "pod" is shaped individually, with the hammer marks as evidence of the forming process. This gives them each a unique character and personality. The surface is a simple brushed finish, nothing too shiny or precious. then museum waxed. While the wax will slow the darkening that happens with handling, they are designed to patina with age.
